We went in to Yuma for the Yuma Lettuce Days. Lunch was a shared Indian fry bread taco and some lettuce wraps. Very good.
For dinner Lou had leftover chicken and I had some spare ribs. She added a green salad made from a sample head of lettuce from the festival, and leftover rice.
We arrived a bit early for the festival so we took a walk by the river near the Old Quartermasters grounds.
Chef Amy Finley told us all about healthy cooking. We took a tour out by a bunch of farms in Gila Valley on a bus with a guide from the Western Arizona University. very informative. We now know more about lettuce than we should.
Some interesting blossoms on a tree at the festival grounds.
There was a chef doing vegetable carvings.
