Friday: (07/08) Oatmeal for breakfast. We started with a visit to the Anchorage Arboretum. It's nice with several gardens hidden in the woods. We also hike the Lowenfel's Family Nature Trail there.

Eagle River Bear Paw Festival Aerial Angels
We then headed up to Eagle River to the Bear Paw Festival. It was sort of a cross between a rural fair and a street fair. We had lunch at the local Subway sandwich shop sharing an avocado bacon and turkey sandwich. They had a nice acrobatic act called the Aerial Angels (above).

We finished the day with a visit to Costco for  few things.
