Lake St George State Park Maine

Saturday: (08/17) French toast and sausage for breakfast. We prepared to roll after dumping our tanks. Left the RV park about 1030. We stopped in Ellsworth at Walmart to fill our drinking water and get a few things. We also stopped by the auto club for some maps and guides. Then we drove the back roads to the town of Castine, Maine. Dawn wanted to see the town and the house of author Katharine Butler Hathaway. We had lunch at the Variety Cafe and walked around the town and examined the Historical Society museum. Then we were back on the road. Somehow most of the day was gone. We headed West on Highway 3 stopping at the Lake St George State Park for the night. We had vegetable soup and chicken for dinner before a nice campfire. (Gps: 44.397197, -69.347320)
