Stanford Dish Hike

Friday: (01/19) I prepared fried eggs and ham with toast for breakfast. I was then off to a rainy day hike at Stanford with my fellow SJMW hikers. Nice walk from Stanford Mall into Stanford University Campus and its Arboretum. Our leader Alex brought us to many new and interesting places along the way. Of course, when we reached the top of Dish Hill with no shelter anywhere near, the deluge started. Lunch at the campus center. Nice rainy day hike on paved trails. Lunch at Panda Express at the campus center after the hike. Soup for dinner
First stop was at the Tesla store to try the new model 3 out for size. Next stop was the Arizona Cactus Garden.
Visited the Memorial Church as well. Several hikers walked the Labyrinth as well.
Left above is a chandelier in the Stem Cell Research Building. On the right the path on Dish Hill.
Statues in the Papua New Guinea Sculpture Garden.
On the right is the Stone River sculpture made with earthquake-damaged stone from one of the buildings on campus
