Monday: (10/17) We continued South on Highway 101 stopping in Humptulips at a salmon fish hatchery. Next we stopped in Aberdeen and picked up our mail at the post office then had lunch at the Best Chinese Buffet. Pretty good grub. Next stop was Walmart to get the new jeep battery. It went in easily and the jeep starts and runs much better now. Now that the jeep is happy, I'm happy!
We drove out to the beach again stopping at Grayland Beach State Park where we got a nice "primitive' site next to the beach. Almost all the sites in this park have hookups except for four sites that are identified as primitive. Actually we rarely need any hookups and sites without hookups are usually in nicer locations than those with hookups as they are here. After we settled in we walked the beach. It's a very wide flat beach with more shells than we've seen before. Vehicles are allowed to drive on the beach so you have to keep an eye out. After our walk we hopped in the Jeep and took a drive up to Westport for a look around then returned home as it was getting dark. Lou made my favorite dinner, chilli sizes. After dinner, I went through the mail. It's been nearly 4 months since I've gotten any mail. Fortunately Dawn's been reviewing it for us.
