Spaghetti With Tangy Meat Sauce

Here's my recipe for spaghetti.
  • One pound of whole wheat spaghetti.
  • 1/2 pound of sausage
  • 1/2 pound of hamburger
  • 1 can of Hunt's garlic herb spaghetti sauce (26oz)
  • 1small 14oz can diced tomatoes
  • about 8-14 oz of salsa
  • 1 onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
Cook the meat until crisp. Break it into crumbs.

Heat the spaghetti sauce, tomatoes and salsa in the microwave for about 8-9 minutes or until hot. Stir occasionally for even heating. I use our glass coffee pot.

Dice the onion and bell peppers and saute. Add some course ground black pepper.

Stir all the ingredients together and let it meld a while.

It tastes great with the tangy sauce. For an RV dish, it makes quite a bit but the leftovers warm up nicely in the microwave. It's good for several meals for two. You just can't make a good small batch of spaghetti.
