PCT Hike Eve

Thursday: (04/17) We drove down to Pine Valley, Ca today. Interesting traffic through LA, OC, and SD. Several accidents observed along the way. Breakfast from McDonald’s, lunch in Laguna Hills at a place called Hot Off The Grill, and dinner at the Calvin’s Restaurant in Pine Valley. McDonald’s OK. The other two were great finds. Excellent club sandwiches for lunch and salads for dinner. Fresh food is not on the trail menu so my dinner salad was for the trail.  We’re about 20 minutes from my Pacific Crest Trail start at the southern terminus by the Mexican border. Weather seems nice. Today was overcast and not hot. I hope it continues.
